Kremer Addie Royce Kremer, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, passed away on July 31, 2005. For 92 years, she lived a rich and meaningful life, touching her family and friends with kindness, compassion and her generous spirit. Born May 22, 1913 in Dawson, MN, Addie was the last surviving child of Thurlow & Mathilda Royce. She moved to Minneapolis as a young woman, where she met Derk Kremer, a resident of Columbia Heights, where they married in Sept. 1949. Derk died in 2002. He had operated Kremer & Davis, a waterproofing firm. Addie helped with the books as she raised three fine children. Her love also radiated to her nieces and nephews and it was always a terribly special day when Addie & Derk & the kids came to visit. Later, she expanded that love to her grandchildren. Addie loved to fish with Derk in the Northwoods. She was a skilled ceramic artist, a lover of theater, an active and friendly neighbor, and an elegant model for a life of grace. Her broad smile and shining eyes translated her bursting spirit far beyond the scope of words. Addie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Derk; her parents; sisters, Evelyn and Delna; brothers, Orlean, Truman and Layton. She is survived by her children, Lynn (Iouri Alsov), Cindy (Dave) Sellin and Derk Jr. (Sue); her grandchildren are Jake, Dean and Devin Sellin, Joel and Derk Addison Kremer and Serey Kremer. Also surviving are Addie's beloved sisters-in-law, Ann Kremer of Columbia Heights and Donna Royce of Mound; also many nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cambodia Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization for orphans. Service Saturday, 10:30 AM, Community United Methodist Church, 950 Gould Ave NE, Col. Hts. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service at church and Friday, 5-8 PM at: Washburn-McReavy Columbia Heights Chapel 4101 Central Avenue NE 763-789-4436
