Mumert Robert L. Mumert, age 76, of Plymouth, formerly of St. Anthony Village, died June 12, 2003. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis; daughters, Kathy (Donald) Hollinger of Bloomington, IN, Carolyn (Dale) Bossen, Janet (Dan) Medin, Peggy (Roger) Ledeboer, all of Maple Grove, and Mary Mumert of Robbinsdale; 9 grandchildren, Angela and Renee Hollinger, Rob (DeeDee), Jay and Deidre Bossen, Brett, Jon and Lindsey Medin, Sarah (Dan) Marek; 2 sisters, Corinne Down of Odebolt, IA and Helen Suttie of Sioux City, IA; nieces and nephews. Bob served in the U.S. Navy, attended Tulane University , graduated from the University of Iowa in 1949, and was a member of Sigma Chi. He worked for the JC Penney Co. for 25 years and later founded Proven Force in Brooklyn Park, retiring in 1987. Member of St. Anthony Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, gardening, and weekends at the family cabin on Lake Ida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by many. Memorial service Monday, June 16 at 1 PM, Cross Winds United Methodist Church, 15051 Weaver Lake Road, Maple Grove. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
