Larson Dr. Rolf Henry Larson, 63, 1517 S. River Rd., Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, May 19, 2002, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, June 9, 2002, at ``Larson's Lodge,'' 1517 S. River Road, Fargo, with a reception immediately following. In honor of Rolf, please wear comfortable attire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, PO Box 8249, Missoula, MT 59807. Rolf Henry Larson was born May 21, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Henry W. and Hazel (Lodmill) Larson. He grew up and attended school in South Minneapolis where he graduated from Washburn High School. He married Maren Andrus on Dec. 31, 1958. He graduated from the University of Minnesota. In 1968, the couple moved to Fargo, ND where they raised their family, and Rolf practiced general surgery at Dakota Clinic. He retired in 1992. Rolf was a lifelong avid sportsman. He is survived by four sons: Eric Rolf Larson and his wife, Constance, of Rochester, MN; Dr. Frank Andrus Larson and his wife, Janice, of North Bend, OR; Kurt William Larson and his wife, Dr. Susan Altman, of Albuquerque, NM; Ben Bror Larson and his partner, Lisa Negstad, of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Jon Larson, Nome, AK; and two sisters, Elizabeth Spangenberg, Brooklyn, MI; and Karin Nordstrom, Maple Plain, MN. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Marissa, Anna, Nathan, Zachary, and Zoe Larson, and his ex-wife, Maren Larson of Bellingham, WA. He is also survived by his golden retriever, ``Buck.''
