Howard Marcia Jean of Edina. Passed away quietly on May 16 after years of struggling with breast cancer and congestive heart failure. She is now at peace and resting in the arms of her Lord. Marcia is survived by her husband, Robert Howard; daughter, Connie Brockway; son-in-law, Dr. David Brockway; granddaughter, Rachel Ann Brockway and her sisters, Lois Anderson & Patricia Johnson. She was preceded in death by her son, Fr. Mark S. Howard; her parents, John A. & Ruth Peterson; and by her brother, Cecil Peterson. For many years, Marcia was an active member of St. Patrick's Church as head of the Women's Council and long-time member of both the scola and regular church choir. In her younger years, Marcia was an avid golfer. She was also an excellent tennis player, frequently beating the male members of her high school tennis team with hard-driving, two-handed forehand and backhand shots.
