Mickelson Norman Wallace, age 79, of White Bear Lake. Born Sept. 2, 1922 in Fargo, ND, died May 8, 2002 at Stillwater Good Samaritan. Preceded in death by parents, Ole & Nora Mickelson; brothers, Martin & John; sister, Evelyn. Graduated from North Dakota State University with two degrees, one in 1944 in Mechanical Engineering and another one in 1946 in Electrical Engineering. WWII Veteran serving in France and Germany. Employed 10 years at General Mills and 26 years at 3M. Upon retirement was first President for 8 years of Lutheran Brotherhood White Bear Lake Branch and first President for 6 years of Aid Association for Lutherans White Bear Lake Branch initiating fund raising for charitable needs in the community. Survived by wife, Joanne; children, Owen Michealson (Bethany) of Edina, Elizabeth of White Bear Lake, Chris (Andie) of Chisago City; brother, Millard of Pelican Rapids; sisters, Florence Ettestad of Redland, OR, Marie Seastrand of Redmond, OR, Martha Larson of Great Falls, MT; 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Annaliese, Anne & Erik; numerous nieces & nephews; and many friends. Visitation at 5-8 PM on 5/10/02 at Honsa Family Funeral Home, 2460 E. Cty Rd. E, White Bear Lake. Funeral service 10 AM on 5/11/02 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3770 Bellaire Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110. Memorials preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
