Robert (Bob) Denkmann
Denkmann Robert (Bob) Denkmann, was born June 17, 1942 in Worthington, MN, to Robert and Marcella Denkmann. The family moved to Minneapolis, MN where Bob attended Mpls. Public Schools and graduated from Vocational High School in 1961. He was in the Air Force from 1961-1965. Bob married Diane Olson on March 19, 1972. They were blessed with two sons, David and Paul. Bob graduated from Antioch University with a BA in 1978. He worked in a variety of positions in juvenile and adult corrections. His most recent position was with Volunteers of America at Woodview and Lake Street correction facilities. He was a member of Brooklyn United Methodist Church where he ushered for many years, considering it his personal ministry. His warm smile and welcoming spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him and he will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, David and Paul; sisters, Judy (David ) Butler of Kaysville, UT, Gloria (Ebrahim) Al-Busairi of Brooklyn Park; brother, Steven (Jo) Denkmann of Tucson, AZ; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends. Funeral Monday 4:30 PM at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center. Interment Fort Snelling. Visitation Sunday 4 to 8 PM AT CHURCH and also one hour prior to service.
