Nieman Robert H., aged 88, of Coon Rapids. Died at home on May 2, 2002. Preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Florence; parents; sister, Nance, and son-in-law, Terry. Survived by children, Roberta (Fran) Husnik, Nancy Niven, James (Dottie) Nieman, & Ginny (Dave Stahnke) Pederson; grandchildren, Denis, Bob (Amy), Larry, & Charlotte Niven, Valerie Jones, Brian, Rachel, & Anna Nieman, Andrea (Kevin) Campbell, & Tony Pederson; great-grandchildren, Steven Hoover, Nick, & Alyssa Niven. Robert attended Barnard School for Boys in New York City, Lawrenceville Preparatory, and Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. He retired from Miller Hospital as the Director of Purchasing. Bob loved to read. He liked mysteries, historical novels, and biographies. He also loved to listen to classical music. He spent many years trying to perfect the playing of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, and even submitted his own to the New York Times. He also enjoyed playing a good hand of Bridge, Cribbage & Russian Bank. A private family ceremony was held for Bob. Deep appreciation for the wonderful care from Allina Hospice, especially Kit & Bonnie.
