Marlys Mae Muriel Kleingartner

Kleingartner Marlys Mae Muriel, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, died May 1, 2002. Born in Mpls, July 10, 1929. Married Gottfried Kleingartner on Oct. 13, 1951 in Mpls. She was a secretary for Mt. Pleasant High School for 16 years for over 100 teachers; also a secretary for the YMCA and several churches. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the church choir and the Women's Society. She enjoyed ceramics, music, people and animals. Survived by son, James of Sterling Heights, MI; daughter-in-law, Constance Fitzgerald of Mpls; 6 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Reuben & Pearl (Tornell) Mellgren; husband, Gottfried on May 26, 1994; son, Gary Fitzgerald; and brother, Kenneth Mellgren. Service Sunday, May 5, 1 pm, Helms Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Interment Memorial Gardens, Mt. Pleasant. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. or the American Diabetes Assoc.
