Larianne Mavis Pederson
Pederson Larianne Mavis Pederson, the daughter of Marvin and Jean Pederson was born on March 2, 1972 in Thief River Falls, MN. She arrived weighing in at 10 lbs. 1 oz. and was happily greeted at home by her two sisters, Lesa and Lynn. Larianne grew up north of Roseau and attended the Roseau School. She was active in track and worked at the old Town and Country Coop store, and spent many nights popping popcorn at the Roseau Theater. She loved spending time with her friends and cruising on Friday nights in her dad's old beat up Chevy Pick-up. After graduating from Roseau High School in 1990 she attended the St. Cloud Beauty College where she graduated with a degree in Cosmetology. After a brief stint cutting hair at the Knollwood Mall she changed jobs to work for the Great Clips chain in Eden Prairie. She had been employed by Great Clips for the past 12 years. She enjoyed several part time jobs including Kinder-Care and Target, where she met and made many wonderful friends. Larianne enjoyed the thrill of life. She loved spending time with all of her friends, and enjoyed being a great "Auntie" to her nieces. She loved adventure and traveled any chance she could. She was an avid bowler and a movie enthusiast. Larianne passed away on May 11, at her home in Bloomington. She was 31 years old. Larianne is survived by her parents, Marvin and Jean Pederson of Roseau; sisters, Lesa (Bruce) Schmechel of Roseau, and Lynn Pederson of Bloomington; two nieces, Emilee and Amanda Schmechel of Roseau; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of her many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Martin and Lucy Pederson and Clarence and Marveline (ma & pa) Stites; uncles, Alder and Gilmet Pederson, and Ted Stites; also her Godparents (aunt and uncle) Luella and Elvin Sjodin. Funeral Service for Larianne Pederson of Bloomington, MN will be held on Friday at 4:00 PM at the Rose Lutheran Church in rural Roseau. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau, and one hour prior to service at church. A devotional service will be held on Thursday at 8:00 PM at Helgeson Funeral Chapel.
