Kirkeberg Ida Ruth Kirkeberg, 97, died on April 30, 2002 at the Martin Luther Manor in Bloomington, Minnesota. Ida was born in Hillsboro, North Dakota to Norwegian immigrant parents, Ole Rudrud and Pernella Mjogdalen. After high school Ida Rudrud moved to Minneapolis and worked at Augsburg Publishing House. Ida and Nils were married on July 6, 1932 and they lived most of their married life in Edina. Ida and Nils shared a strong commitment to their Lutheran Christian and Norwegian cultural heritage. Nils died in 1971. Ida was active in her beloved Bethlehem Lutheran Church in South Minneapolis and in the Lutheran Welfare Society. Although she had no children of her own she maintained close family relationships with nieces and nephews and their extended families. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Foundation. Memorial service Friday 1 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls.
