Walsh Phyllis (Quigley) Walsh died peacefully just minutes after midnight on April 24, 2002. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Walsh; two sisters, Joanne Werner, Gladys Westberg and her husband, John; her daughter, Catherine Corcoran and two granddaughters, Katie and Karla Erickson; nieces, Lisa Brown and Paula Virshek; nephews, Bruce and Brian Westberg and their families. She will be greatly missed and remembered daily by her family and friends who loved her and by the animals she adored and protected, above all by her cat, Beau. According to her wishes, she will be cremated and an outdoor remembrance gathering will take place during early summer at the family's home. Out of the many places that Phyllis traveled in her life, her favorite spot, and where she felt the most at peace, was the shore of Lake Superior. A remembrance donation may be sent to the loving staff of North Memorial Hospice who cared for her during her illness.
