Ostmoe Berger J., 88, died in Panama City, FL, April 20, 2002. Resident of Crosslake, formerly of St. Anthony. Graduated with a B.E. degree in 1938 from Winona State University. Co-founder of Minnesota Engineering Co. Inducted into the Winona State University Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. Preceded in death in 1999 by wife of 60 years, Margaret. Survived by daughter, Patricia; son, Richard & wife Audrey; grandchildren, Eric Ostmoe, Jill Marier & husband Ray, Jeff Brown; sisters-in-law, Doretta Krause, Geraldine Ostmoe; nephew, Harold Ostmoe & wife Pat and children and grandchild; niece, Carol Zahn & husband Allan and children and grandchild; and close family friend, Sandra Sweeney; many cousins and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Mpls. Visitation 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Billman-Hunt Chapel, 2701 Central Ave NE, Mpls, and also 1/2 hour before Mass Thursday in church atrium.
