H. Reynolds Galbraith
Galbraith H. Reynolds ``Gabe'' Reynolds was born March 14, 1912 and died April 14, 2002. He loved his family: his wife of 42 years, Marjorie Jensen Galbraith and his wife of 18 years, Mary Ella Durkee Galbraith who survives him. He loved his children: his son, Arthur Galbraith, his daughter, Jean Thorp, his son-in-law, Rawlyn Thorp, his grandson, Eric Miller and Eric's wife Katalin. Reynolds graduated from the University of Minnesota in June 1934 and joined The Pillsbury Company. For 40 years in South Dakota, St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis and Toronto he sold pancake flower, pie crust mix and cake mix as a salesman and Grocery Division Sales Manager. He was transferred to Canada as President of Pillsbury Canada. He loved his work, which in memory, was all great. Reynolds father bought property on Whitefish Lake in 1920. From then until now Reynolds has loved and nurtured that wonderful land. Now, in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, that land has become a Nature Conservatory and will remain pristine and undeveloped in perpetuity. A celebration of Reynolds life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 17 at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5730 Grove Street, Edina.
