Strauss (Risvold) Solveig "Sy" Strauss Born to John & Gunhild Risvold, Oct. 27, 1914. Left us May 4, 2003. Preceded in death by daughter, Elizabeth; husband, Richard. Will be deeply missed by daughter, Susan Duffy (Myron Anderson); grandson, Jon Gilbertsen; nephews, David, Charles, Doug Westman. Will also be missed by many friends, new and old, some of whom she has loved and who have loved her for 75 years. Sy will be best remembered for her intelligence and sense of humor, as well as for her compassion for the sufferings of others. Her charitable donations reflected her deep commitment to try and alleviate as much suffering as she could. Memorials preferred to the American Lung Assoc., Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, or World Wildlife Fund. Memorial Service Wednesday, May 7, 2:00 PM at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S., Mpls.
