Werner W. Amerongen

Amerongen Werner W. Amerongen, M.D., age 85 of Roseville, peacefully on May 3, 2003. He was a physician and surgeon at St. Joseph's and Bethesda hospitals for many years. Preceded in death by sons; Joseph and Paul, granddaughter; Kelly, brother; Fred and sister Marge Daly. Greatly missed by loving wife of 56 years; Bobbie, children; Jane & Scott Deming, Mary Boston, Barb & Doug Mitsch, Rita & Dennis Corrigan, Cathy & John Ries, Joanie & Russ Vetick and John and Lisa Amerongen, daughter in law; Kathy Amerongen, grandchildren; Beth, Jenny, Scott, Chris, Jenny, Matt, Laura, Brian, Joe, Michele, Monica, Kathy, Teresa, Michael, Melissa, Sean, Andrew, Mark, Jack, Renee, Marissa, Julia, Nicholas and Elise, great grandchildren; Zachary and Reinee, brothers; Gerry, Leo, Henry, and Carl. With heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Steve Skildum and Alden Tetlie, Hospice HealthEast and The Pillars "A place of grace" for making Werner's journey home peaceful. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday at The Church of St. Rose (2048 N. Hamline Ave., Rsvl.) Visitation 4-8 PM Monday at the Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 N. Hamline Ave. 651-631-2727). In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Jesuit Retreat House of Lake Elmo or to The Pillars of Oakdale.
