Heskett Margaret Veronica (Doyle) Heskett, 92, died April 30 at her home in Bismarck, ND. She was born in Grace- ville, MN, on June 23, 1910, the daughter of Frank and Josephine Doyle. Margaret began working as a secretary in the Minneapolis office of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. in 1941 until she enlisted in the U.S. Navy Waves in the summer of 1943. Following technical school in the Bronx, Doyle was posted to a communication unit first in Washington, DC, and then at Wahiawa Naval Reservation in Hawaii. She received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman First Class at Great Lakes Naval Station outside Chicago, IL, March 26, 1946. She returned to her position at Montana-Dakota following her discharge and moved with the company headquarters to Bismarck, ND in 1969, retiring as executive secretary to the chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer in 1971. Margaret married David M. Heskett, September 3, 1971. They made their home in Bismarck and traveled extensively until Margaret was disabled by Alzheimer's disease in the late 1980's. Mr. Heskett cared for her at their home until his death in early April 2003. The past several years, nurses from St. Alexius Home Health Care assisted with her care. Margaret is survived by three stepchildren, David Heskett, Jr. and his wife Ginger, Ashville, NC, Robert Heskett, Chicago, IL, and Susan Mitchell, Minneapolis, MN; seven step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, one brother, Clare Doyle and two sisters, Helen and Mary Doyle. Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, ND, with Fr. Thomas Kramer officiating. Burial will be Saturday, 10:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. First Memorial - Waterston Chapel 612-825-4567
