Ward (nee Tracy) Marjorie Ward, of Maple Grove, MN and Florence, AZ passed away April 14, 2003, in Arizona. Preceded in death by her brother Michael Tracy, brother-in-law Dick Dunphy, and great niece Sara Dunphy. Survived by Robert, her husband of 33 years. Also survived by her brother James Tracy (Rosemary), sister Marian Dunphy, brother-in-law Harlan Ward (Dolly), many nieces & nephews to include her favorite great nephew Tom Dunphy and her beloved dog Murphy. Marge attended St. Benedict's College and graduated with a degree in Social Work from Mankato State University. She spent a large portion of her life working with emotionally disturbed children at Glen Lake Sanitarium in Lino Lakes, and at the Anoka State Hospital. For seven years she was the warden of the Women's Correctional Facility in Florence, AZ. She was the first woman to hold that position. Marge had many friends that loved her, and she will be sadly missed. Although Marge never had children of her own, she "had children" that were so dear to her and she gave love, kindness, and encouragement to all of them. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7180 Hemlock Lane, Maple Grove MN 55369. Private burial will be held at St. Brendan's Catholic Cemetery in Green Isle, MN.
