Franet Kenneth Bert Franet, age 83, died Monday, April 21, 2003 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born February 10, 1920 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Louis and Charlotte George Franet. He was raised in New Jersey and attended schools there. He married Amelia Wilhelmina Muller on June 4, 1944 in New York City. They were very happily married for nearly 59 years. Kenneth served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army. He and Amelia moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where they resided for many years. He worked for Prudential Insurance for 42 years. He moved to Mesquite in 2000. He enjoyehunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. Kenneth will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed very much. Survivors include his wife, Amelia, currently residing at the Highland Manor Care Center in Mesquite; one daughter, Kathy Franet of Mesquite; two sons, Kenny (Vickie) Franet of Cokato, Minnesota and Ted (Barb) Franet of Minneapolis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 25, 2003 at 10 AM at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 Old Mill Rd, Mesquite, Nevada.
