Foley Marian Pearl Foley, 72, of Roseau, MN, died at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND on April 21, 2003. Marian was born in Grafton, ND, the daughter of James and Pearl Kelly on April 26, 1930. She resided in the Crystal, ND area, attending school there. After high school she entered St. Joseph School of Nursing and graduated as an R.N. in 1951. She married Robert F. Foley on June 17, 1952 in Crystal, ND. She was employed as a pediatric nurse for Dr. Silverman in Fargo, ND, where she resided for several years. On Sept. 1, 1961, she moved to Roseau, MN. She resided in Roseau until her death. She was a director of Citizens State Bank and a director of Roseau Realty Co. Inc. and was an active participant in banking affairs. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild and was an active participant in church activities, especially given her five children. Her interests included gardening, curling, and golfing. She was a member of the Oakcrest Golf Club. Survivors include husband, Robert F. Foley of Roseau; children, Catherine Swenson of Merced, CA, Elizabeth (Andrew Au) Foley of Burlingame, CA, Robert J. (Mary) Foley of Roseau, Colleen Foley Sacks (Gary Sacks) of Portland, OR and Scott (Jacqueline) Foley of Mendota Heights, MN; nine grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Erin, Megan, Kayleen, Kelly, Jack, McKenna and Connor. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Emmett Kelly and Cyril Kelly, and her parents, Pearl and James Kelly. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseau. Visitation 7-9 pm Wednesday at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau, and also one hour prior to service at the church. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 8:30 pm Wednesday at Helgeson's. Interment Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Roseau.
