Kildegaard Rev. Axel C. Kildegaard, 85, died April 13 at his home in Circle Pines, with family at his side. He was born June 8, 1917, in New York, son of the Rev. Axel C. and Ellen (Hansen) Kildegaard. He was ordained in the Lutheran Church in 1942, and was awarded an S.T.M. degree from Yale Divinity School in 1947. Until his retirement in 1984, he was a professor at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Fylla P. Kildegaard; a son, Nis, and his wife, Carolyn, of Massachusetts; a daughter, Lise Kildegaard, and her husband, Luther Snow, of Iowa; son, Arne, and his wife, Athena, of Morris; a son in law, Dennis Buchen, of Minneapolis; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Siri Buchen. Visiting hour is at 10 am Saturday, April 19, at St. Mark Lutheran Church on North Road in Circle Pines. Memorial service follows at 11 am. Memorial gifts to LSTC, Grand View College or St. Mark Church.
