Fitzgerald Carol Lee Fitzgerald After a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 47, Carol Fitzgerald passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2003 surrounded by family and friends. She is the beloved wife of Larry Fitzgerald Sr., loving mother of Marcus and Larry Jr.; beloved daughter of Dr. Robert & Mercedes Johnson, daughter-in-law of Robert and Sally Fitzgerald; devoted sister of Valerie (Norman), Stephanie (Perry); Robert Jr., Kimberly (Byron), Paula (Sam); sister-in-law of Robert, Michael, Marilyn, Ephriam (Cren). She leaves to cherish her memory a host of relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration Services TODAY, Saturday, April 12, 2003 at New Salem Baptist church located at 2519 Lyndale Ave. North, Minneapolis. Visitation 1 pm, Funeral services at 2 pm. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois on Monday April 14th at 10 am. Carol worked as a Disease Intervention Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Health. She was an active member of numerous organizations involving HIV/ AIDS and Breast Cancer.
