Antigua Dr. Pablo Lumapas Antigua, age 78, of Elk River died April 9, 2003. He was born in Mandaue, Cebu, Philippines on January 15, 1925 to Gregorio and Eulogia Antigua. Pablo was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Maxie. Survived by wife, Annette; children, Paul, Cheryl (John) Strei, Michael (Ellie), Teresa (Jonathan) Lineer; grandchildren, Addie, Leo, Ella, Dylan and Gregory; brothers, Bening and Domingo; sisters, Matilde and Leoncia; and many nieces and nephews. From 1975 to 1989, Pablo was a family practice physician in Elk River, MN. He enjoyed his work with patients and co-workers. He loved farming whether he was wielding a bolo or driving a tractor. Pablo was persistent in realizing his dreams and enduring the progressive limitations of ataxia for 14 years. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Wednesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 566 4th St. NW, Elk River. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River, 763-441-1212, and one hour prior to services at church on Wednesday. Memorials preferred to the Heffer Project International and St. Andrew's School in Elk River.
