Lampe, Alois W. Age 102, long-time resident of St. Louis Park, passed away on September 27, 2014. He was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Dec. 2, 1911 to Aloys G. and Laura "Hattie" (Hinz) Lampe. He spent his formative years in Britton, South Dakota working with his brothers in their father's meat market. Preceded in death by wife, Margaret; brothers, Bernard and Ralph; son, Michael Lampe; and grandson, Gregory Lampe. Survived by children, Joseph Lampe (Ernee McArthur), James Lampe, Kathryn Craighead (Lawrence), Mary Hearne (Steve), David Lampe (Charlotte); daughter-in-law, Mary Schiesel; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grand-children. Al was a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Class of 1932, a home builder in the western suburbs, and a founder and permanent member of Most Holy Trinity Parish. Al loved his family first and lived to fish and hunt. Funeral Mass Saturday, Oct. 11th, 10 AM at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 Forestview Ln N, Plymouth, MN. Visitation at the church one hour before the service. Burial following the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN.
