Gary James Erickson

Erickson Gary James Erickson, born June 7, 1940, died April 7, 2003 at the age of 62. Gary passed away surrounded by his family & friends after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Adaline Welch; sister, Donna Pearson. He was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marilyn Erickson; children, Marty (Julie) Erickson, Barry (Tammy) Erickson, Marcy (Ted) Flaskamp; 9 grandchildren; family dog, Brandy; sister, Kay (Van) Nelson; brother, Robert Erickson; many nieces and nephews. Gary was a kind and gentle man. Everyone who knew him loved being around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed the simple things in life - good times at the cabin and spending time with his family & friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gary retired from Shafer & Feld after 32 years as a cameraman. Thank you to all the wonderful hospice staff who gave Gary such wonderful care. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thurs, April 10 at 1 PM, Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope. Private interment.
