Dorothy Dale MacKenzie

MacKenzie Dorothy Dale MacKenzie, age 82, of Chanhassen, former longtime resident of Excelsior. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home to our Lord on April 4, 2003. She devoted her life to serving her church and the community. Her volunteer work included the Minnetonka Life Care Center, BeFrienders, Dinner at Your Door and the Catholic Women's Association. Preceded in death by her son, David MacKenzie; brothers, Wally and Dick Dale. Survived by loving husband of 61 years, John Marcus MacKenzie; son, John (Julie) MacKenzie of East Lansing, MI; daughters, Linda MacKenzie of Excelsior and Christine MacKenzie (Bob Smith) of Minneapolis; and daughter-in-law, Kay Roth of Madison, MN. Also survived by 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, April 11, 2003 at 10:00 AM, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 690 Mill Street, Excelsior (952-474-8868). Visitation Thursday, April 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Gathering Space).
