Olson Grace Livdahl Olson went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 2. Her death was caused by complications of asthma. She was born September 6, 1911 in Velva, ND. Her family moved to Bismarck, ND in 1914. After graduating from Bismarck High School she enrolled at Concordia College, Moorhead, where she met her future husband, Morgan Olson. During the summer of 1930 she worked as a soda jerk, and was named Miss Bismarck; the prize was a trip to Alaska, which she never forgot. Grace & Morgan were married in December 1933, and lived in Bagley, MN, where he taught high school. They were active in their church and community, living in Mankato, MN, and finally moving to Robbinsdale in 1949. She was elected president of the ALC Church Women, Minneapolis Conference, and served four years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan, and daughter, Martha Ward. Survivors include her son, James & wife Nancy; grandchildren, Randall of Minneapolis, Christopher (Polly) of Miltona, MN, and Andrea (Michael Yount) of Salt Lake City, UT; 1 great-grandchild, Shelby, of Miltona, MN; also surviving are 2 sisters, Velva and Thelma, and 1 brother, Philip. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 7, at 11 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley.
