Gianos Theodore C. (Bud) Gianos, a kind and gentle man, age 79, of Edina, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2002 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the Zuhrah Shrine. Graduated from the University of MN, BME 1947. Certificate of Proficiency, Meteorology, University of Chicago, WWII Captain, Army Air Force, Registered Professional Engineer, Minnesota. Former member, American Society Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. Former member, Golden Valley Country Club. Ted began his professional life with Philip R. Reese, Inc. in 1949. Soon after that, he realized his goal was to own his own business and to work for himself. Thirteen years later, he and two partners bought the business and Ted became President of Reese Associates, Inc. He was an honest, principled and persistent businessman, who valued a quality job and met his commitments. He and his wife, Phyllis, spent 55 years doing almost everything together from hanging wallpaper to traveling and golf. He has two children who love and respect him and four grandchildren who enjoyed every chance they had to be with him. Preceded in death by parents, Edna and Chris Gianos; sister, Laurie Pedersen; and brother, James C. Survived by wife of 54 years, Phyllis; daughter, Stephanie Weaver; son, Philip (Flip) and wife Carol; 4 grandchildren, Ashleigh and Chris Weaver, Nicholas and Zachary Gianos; sisters, Marian (Melvin) Johnson, and Sally Truhn. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 10:00 AM in Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Pastor Paul Youngdahl officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or Cathedral of the Pines. Cremation Society of MN 952-924-4100
