Mae F. Herbig

Herbig Mae F., age 83, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Mpls, died Tues., March 12, 2002 at the Leisure Hills Health Care Center in Grand Rapids. She was born Dec. 26, 1918 to Gust & Caroline (Marjnien) Johnson in Tallahassee, FL and grew up in the Mpls area attending school in Mpls and Owatonna. Mae graduated from the Abbott Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing and worked many years as a Registered Nurse at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. On Nov. 11, 1939, Mae was married to Rudolph S. Herbig in Mpls and he preceded her in death in 1967. In addition to her husband, Mae was also preceded by her parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Survived by daughter, Janet Linderholm of Brooklyn Park, MN; sons, Ronald (Karen) Herbig of Grand Rapids, MN, Gerald (Pam) Herbig of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Memorial service 11 am Saturday, March 30 at the First Lutheran Church of Crystal, 7708 62nd Ave N. in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Rev. Terry J. Frovik will officiate. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN. Arr. by Rowe Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, MN.
