Ernest L. Babb

Babb Ernest L. Babb 12/18/04 - 3/19/02 E.L. Babb, a founding member of the Montevideo Lions Club, passed peacefully Tuesday, March 19 in Bloomington, Minnesota, at age 97. A graveside service was held at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo. Memorials should be sent to The Lions Eye Bank, Memorial Program, MMC 493, 420 Delaware Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455. Ernest is survived by Ursula, his beloved wife of sixty-five years. Montevideo residents for over fifty years, the Babbs owned and operated Valet Cleaners on Main Street for 30 years. E.L. Babb leaves two adult children and five surviving grandchildren: son, Bradford (Michele) Babb of Whitehouse, Ohio; daughter, Barbara (David) Bye of Bloomington. Grandchildren are Kevin and Brian Babb, Christopher, Melissa and Maggie Bye. Grandson, Jason Babb preceded his grandfather in death in 1986.
