Maxine C. Smith

Smith Maxine C., age 90, of Excelsior, formerly of Bloomington & Richfield. Founder and owner of Maxine's Drive-In, the first drive-in west of Minneapolis from 1948-1953. Preceded in death by husband, Urban Smith and grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew. Survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Nancy Smith of Excelsior, Tom & Catherine Smith of Mesa, AZ; daughters & sons-in-law, Judy & Charlie Dunlevy of Redwood Falls, Jane & Dave Parsons of East Bethel; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 22, 2002 at 11 am, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 680 Mill St., Excelsior (952-474-8868). Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
