Litchy Rosemary M. Litchy 5/ 7/1909-3/31/2003 St. Cloud, MN Funeral services will be on Friday, April 4, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral Upper Church for Rosemary M. Litchy, age 93. Formerly of St. Cloud, she died Monday, March 31 at the St. Anthony Park Home in St. Paul. Reverend Steven Binsfeld will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Rosemary was born on May 7, 1909 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Andrew and Helen (Limprich) Schumacher. She was raised in St. Cloud, graduating from Cathedral High School. Rosemary married William J. Litchy on April 9, 1931. She was employed by, Herbergers Department Store in St. Cloud for 22 years, retiring in 1985. Rosemary was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, St. Anne's Christian Women, and the Burlington Northern Ð Sante Fe Veterans Association. Rosemary will be remembered by, family and friends for her gentle, determined spirit, her love for her family, and for enthusiasm of all that life offered her. She was a creative person and homemaker, known for her skills as a seamstress, as well as her enjoyment of needlework and other crafts. Her enthusiasm for life was evident in her enjoyment of Bridge, a good party, or a big fish at the end of the line. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Survivors include her children, Helen Perry of Saratoga, California, Mary Winterbottom of Wayne, Maine, John and wife Bette of Fridley, Gretchen Reid and husband Barry of Papillion, Nebraska, William, Jr. "Butch" and wife Patricia of St. Paul, and Susan Gray and husband Glen of Duluth; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Schumacher of Bismark, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 7, 1962; one brother, Andrew Jr., and three sisters, Betty Schumacher, Louise Hall, and Helen Harrell; sons-in-law, James Perry and Ellis Winterbottom. Family requests memorials in lieu of flowers. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
