Richard Olschlager
Olschlager Richard C. "Rick" Olschlager, 49, Fargo, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died Thursday March 27, 2003 at Elim Care Center, Fargo. Rick was born December 11, 1953 at Harvey. He grew up near Fessenden and attended Fessenden School and graduated in 1972. He attended Jamestown College for one year and transferred to the University of North Dakota and graduated with a BA in Communications. He moved to Minneapolis and received a Master's degree in telecommunications from the University of Minnesota. He was employed at Dayton's for a short time and later the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He was the concierge at the Whitney Hotel in Minneapolis for the past 5 years. In Nov. of 2002 he moved to Fargo. On February 7 he entered Elim Care Center. He was a member of Delta Upsilon and Phi Beta Kappa. He loved collecting antiques. Rick is survived by his mother, Mayme Olschlager, Fargo, ND; aunts and uncles, Mary (Russel) Mayer, Milford, Utah; Fred (Marlys) Olschlager, Fessenden, ND; Joyce Olschlager, Fessenden, ND and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Olschlager; grandparents, Otto and Alma Broeder, and George and Katie Olschlager. Funeral Service Monday, 2 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation Sunday, 5-7 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Entombment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND
