Marion May Notaro
Notaro Marion May, passed away March 25, 2003, in San Diego, CA. Born Marion May Maxwell in Humboldt, MN, on May 11, 1920, she was endearingly called "Tooie". Homecoming queen of McCallaster College, Marion applied her master's in business to owning income properties in Mpls. She and James Notaro, who predeceased her in 1998, lived in Bryn Mawr but enjoyed winters in their Laguna Beach, CA, home. Always active in the community, Marion owned an antique store, edited The Bryn Mawr Bugle, volunteered at the polls, and chaired several associations where she was regaled for her witty dissertations. She attended the Presbyterian Church and Jewish Community Center. She enjoyed painting, writing, public speaking, mystery novels, and traveling. Marion is survived by her son & daughter, and their families; Jeff Striebel, grandchildren Jeremy & Michelle & great-grandson James, all of Mpls., MN & Linda Waggoner & granddaughter, Cassidy, of San Diego, CA, & grandson, Monty, of Fargo, ND. We miss her dearly. Graveside service is Tues. April 1, 2PM at Oakhill Cemetery, 59th & Lyndale, Mpls, MN, pending weather.
