Jean S. Short

Short (Stromme) Jean S. Short, 84, of Carlsbad, CA, formerly of Mpls, died March 2, 2003. Born Sept. 1, 1918 in Eveleth, MN, she was the first in her family to attend college and received a BA at the University of MN. She taught nursing at Columbia University and was on the school board of Edina High School in Mpls. Mrs. Short was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. William B. Stromme, in 1978, and her second husband, Floyd E. Short, in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Christensen of Piedmont, CA, Christine Schaefer of Denver, CO and Elizabeth Stromme of Los Angeles, CA, and grandson, Michael Christensen of Piedmont, CA.
