Long Verna A., age 87 of Edina. Preceded in death by mother, Emma Connolly. Survived by husband of 61 years, Chester F. Long; other relatives and friends. Verna served as a school nurse at South High, Mpls for 30 years and was an active member of Central Lutheran Church for 75 years. Funeral service Monday, 2 PM, Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S, Mpls. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation 1/2 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Central Lutheran Church Foundation.
