Elsie H. (Grgurich) Gertz

Gertz Elsie H. Gertz (Grgurich), age 81, formerly of Maple Plain/Brainerd MN lakes area, died peacefully surrounded by those who loved and cared for her March 10, 2003. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin; siblings, John, Sophie and Andrew. Survived by daughters, Sharon (Milt) Sommers, Diane (Steve) Clausen and Cindi (Gunnar) Williamson; grandchildren, Mike (Tracy) & Chris Sommers, Lauren & Chase Clausen and Jennifer Wills; great-grandchildren, Samantha & Ryan Sommers; sister, Ann Freeman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elsie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary ad the Ladies Guild. She was an avid walker, loved to bake and enjoyed sunset pontoon rides on Pelican Lake with her family. Memorial Mass will be held at St. George's Catholic Church, 133 Brown Road No., Long Lake, MN on Saturday, March 15, at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior. Lunch will be served in the church hall following the service. Our family offers its heartfelt thanks to the staff of 3rd floor South, Presbyterian Homes of Lake Minnetonka for their kindness and care of our Mom.
