Slade Elaine Dorothy Lusk, age 79, of Oxford, MS, died at home on Saturday, March 2, 2002. Beloved wife of Alliston, member of First Presbyterian Church and the Mississippi Chapter of the Eighth Air Force Society. She delivered Meals on Wheels and was an Old Miss faculty wife from 1957-1977. Our mother devoted her entire life to her family and cared for them with a depth of love that was known only to her family, who will miss her, but whose memories of her will never fade. She was a mentor and a role model to everyone whose life she touched, and she gave unselfishly of herself until she was called home by the lord. Preceded in death by husband, Alliston Slade; brother James Lusk; sister, Delores Mickelberry. Survived by daughters, Jane (Brian) Slade Metzger of Oxford, MS, Cindy (Curtis) Slade Stapleton of Houston, TX, Pam (Harold) Slade Miller of Clinton, MS; son, Bill (Angie) Slade of North Baltimore, OH; step-daughter, Carolyn Craver of Ft.
