Priess Marian D., was born September 25, 1931 in Chaska, MN to Edward and Alice (Braunworth) Vogel. She graduated from Chaska High School in 1948. She married John Priess on September 29, 1950 in Chaska. The family lived in Carver for a time before moving to Princeton in 1960 where they farmed northeast of town. Marian worked at Cambridge State Hospital, retiring after 29 years of service. She was an active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Princeton. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of great joy for her. Marian is survived by her husband, John Priess of Princeton, one son, John & his wife Carol, of Zimmerman, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Carlson-Priess, four brothers and one sister. Marian died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Fairview-Northland Hospital at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 26 days. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Princeton. Fr. Luke Steiner will be the celebrant. Friends may gather at 9 a.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be in St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
