Torgerson Lillian V. (Madland), age 84, of Burnsville. United in marriage with Karl M. Torgerson on August 2, 1942 in Cottonwood, MN. Received her A.A. from Waldorf College in Waverly, IA and her B.A. from Luther College in Decorah, IA. Taught 4th & 5th grade in Thousand Oaks, CA, active in many church organizations. Survived by daughter, Karolyn of Hibbing, MN; sons, Karl Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Paul (Rebecca) of Woodbury, MN and Erik of Mauston, WI; 3 grandchildren, Sara, Jacob and Rachel; brother, Herman (Inez) Madland of Northfield, MN; and twin-sisters, Mable (George) Nelson of Brainerd and Mineva (Dean) Fritze of Farmington; sister-in-law, Henrietta Torgerson of Decorah, IA. Funeral service 1 PM Tuesday, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 200 E. Nicollet Blvd., Burnsville. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
