Sherman Richard F., age 65, of St. Paul Park, passed away Feb. 28, 2002 from lung cancer. Richard was born April 14, 1936 and grew up on St. Paul's Eastside. He worked at American Bakeries (Tastee Bread) for 38 years until he was diagnosed with diabetes and medically retired in 1988. Preceded in death by his parents, Pauline & Frank; sister, Lorraine Reich; brother, Lawrence; and sister-in-law, Lydia. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane (Youness) of St. Paul Park; daughter, Pamela of Cottage Grove; son, Scott (Deb) of Newport; six grandchildren, Christina (Pootz) Schmitz of Cottage Grove, Kimberly (Bill) Prochazka of Oakdale, Michelle of Fargo, ND, Michael of Lino Lakes & Lynne of Newport; three great-grandchildren, Wesley Donner-Rhein, Kambrie & Jaeden Prochazka of Oakdale; brothers, Robert (Peggy) of Winnetka, CA & Ronald (Sharon) of White Bear Lake; also many nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral service Saturday, 7 PM, with visitation 3:30-7 PM at KOK FUNERAL HOME-COTTAGE GROVE CHAPEL, 7676 80th St. S. (651-459-2875). Private interment, Riverview Cemetery, West St. Paul.
