Schober Gustav, 96, of Copperfield Hill in Robbinsdale, MN, died on February 24th. He was born in Wolfschlugen, Germany and is the last surviving child of his family. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1926 and lived in New Jersey, Missouri and for the last 57 years in Minnesota. He married Johanna Pflueger in 1927 and they were married 72 years until her death on June 22, 2000. Also preceded in death by parents, Katherine and Albert Schober; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He worked as a Plastering and Stucco Contractor his entire life until retirement, having learned his trade in Germany. He was a family man and always strived to keep the family spiritually strong and together. He will be missed more than he will ever know by his loving family, for he was the foundation of how we all began. His greatest loves besides his family were music and his flowers. He sang in a German men's chorus in St. Louis, the church choirs at Salem Lutheran Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church, The Apollo Club of Mpls. and the Leisure Age Choir at Elim Lutheran Church. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret & her husband George Lovgren, Mina & her husband Don Henneman; his son, Albert & his wife Carole; special grandson, whom he raised, Ronald Taylor. He is also survived by 12 other grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church of Robbinsdale, 40th and West Broadway, where services will be held Friday, March 1 at 11:00 AM. Interment Glen Haven.
