Maureen Gere

Gere Maureen (Lucille Imer Jaeger), 91, resident of Hastings & the MN Masonic Home. Retired teacher of Spanish and English, St. Paul Park/Cottage Grove. Member of Hastings UN. Methodist Church where she was active in the School of Christian Missions, held many church offices and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and PEO. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, Lawrence Jaeger (Jay); parents, Harry and Jessie Imer; sister, Ruth Scholtz; & second husband, Charles Gere. Survived by daughter, Suellen Jaeger Loesch and extended family of friends of all ages. Memorial Service 2:30 PM Saturday at UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 615 W. 15th St., Hastings. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation 7-9 PM Friday at CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings. Eastern Star Service 8:30 PM Friday.
