Cooke Yvonne C., age 86, of Wayzata, passed away February 9. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis, and brother, Oran. She worked several years as a Medical Technician, followed by a second career as office manager for her husband's firm, Workman Service Co. until retirement. Her generosity has been felt in many causes, her special favorite being the University of Minnesota where her bequests have established the Yvonne Chenoweth Cooke Endowed Professorship in Medical Technology and the Yvonne C. Cooke Endowed Scholarship in Medical Technology. She is survived by a sister, Avis (Rolland) Gustafson, and brother, Dean (Shirley) Chenoweth; nieces, Suzanne Gilmore, Faye (Tom) Youngren, Trudy (Todd) Christianson, Diane Ayer, Connie (Robert) Cooper, Marna (James) Brass, Kay (Marc) Friedman, Joan Chenoweth, and nephews, Dr. Charles Chenoweth and Eric (Susan) Chenoweth and sister-in-law, Romonica Chenoweth. Her ashes will be spread at a favorite place. At her request, a reflection celebration will be held on her birthdate at the Golden Valley Country Club on Wednesday, May 8, from five to seven p.m. Memorials are preferred to her Scholarship in Medical Technology at the University of Minnesota.
