Inglis Dr. Stephen Palmer, age 83, of Redwood Falls, MN, died on Feb. 6, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946, and then was a dentist in Redwood Falls until his death. In his dental career, he served on the MN Dental Board of Examiners, was president of the Southern District of MN Dental Assoc., was a life-time member of the MN Dental Association, MN Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity. He was active in the Redwood Falls community, serving as trustee of the Presbyterian Church, as a member of the Redwood Falls School Board, as a charter member of the Rotary Club - Redwood Falls, and on the Governing Board of Redwood Cooperative Center-Redwood Falls Vocation School. He had a passion for golf, playing at Redwood Falls Golf Club and at various vacation spots. Stephen is survived by his children, Marcia Inglis Gerhardsson & Ulf of Orebro, Sweden, Dr. Stephen M. Inglis & Laura of Wayzata, MN, Dr. James W. Inglis & Tracy of Minnetrista, MN, Dr. Thomas H. Inglis & Mary of Hutchinson, MN; 9 grandchildren, Kristoffer, William, Andrew, Meredith, Jack, Rosie, Jessica, Emily, Eric. He is also survived by the children & grandchildren of Donna Hicks Inglis; brother & sister-in-law, Dr. James Inglis & Ann of Palo Alto, CA; and sister-in-law, Margaret Fitzpatrick of Redwood Falls. Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Inglis; his second wife, Donna Hicks Inglis; brother, Dr. William Inglis; half-sister, Miriam Pollock & granddaughter, Stephanie Inglis. Funeral service Monday, Feb. 11, 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church, Redwood Falls. Visitation Sunday, Feb. 10, 4-6 pm at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Redwood Falls; District 687 Foundation, Redwood Valley High School; or donor's choice.
