Anna Rebecca (Nelson) Floren

Floren Anna Rebecca (Nelson), age 88 of Hopkins, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at Methodist Hospital. Anna was born April 13th, 1914 at Waseca County to William Oscar and Charlotte (Mattson) Nelson. Following graduation from Waseca High School she attended Mankato Business College, studying accounting. She worked at Waseca Creamery before contracting tuberculosis in 1938, spending 3 1/2 years recovering at Glen Lake Sanitorium and then beginning employment at Waseca Mutual Ins. Co. On July 7, 1946 she married Lawrence Lage Floren at Lakeview Lutheran Church parsonage, St. Paul. From 1955 to 1979 she was employed by USPS. Anna had many interests including sewing and needlework. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 30, 1997; and by 4 brothers, Emerson, Rueben, Harold, and Donald. Survived by many nieces and nephews; numerous other family members and friends. Services Tuesday, 11 AM, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Rd., Hopkins. Visitation 1 hour prior at church. Interment Woodville Cemetery, Waseca.
