Nemanic Donald J. Nemanic, age 74, of Golden Valley, died Feb. 8, 2003 at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth, MN. He is survived by wife, Gail of 43 years; son, Scott (Kay) Nemanic of Blue Earth, MN; mother, Agnes Nemanic of Aurora, MN; brother, David (Arlene) Nemanic of Virginia, MN; son-in-law, Ned Wilson of Grand Junction, CO and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and his daughter, Denise Nemanic-Wilson. Donald was born Jan. 2, 1929 to Joseph and Agnes Nemanic in Bayonne, NJ. He attended Aurora High School, then received his Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Was employed by Dupont, then served in the Army. Returned to recieve his Master's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and worked 34 years for Unisys. Memorial service Monday, Feb. 17 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley. Memorials will be given to the Alzheimer's Association and the Donald Nemanic Memorial Fund at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Natural Science at the University of Minnesota.
