Ottsen The family of Katharine Viola Kieber Ottsen of Minnetonka sadly announces that Katharine ("Ki") passed away on January 29, 2003. Born on July 26, 1912 in Davenport, Iowa, she graduated magna cum laude from Coe College in 1934. She married G. Maurice Ottsen in 1937 and worked with him serving congregations in the Midwest and California. Among her multiple ministries were organist, choir member, altar guild member and advocate for ecumenical initiatives. She participated in PEO, Eastern Star, the League of Women Voters, Republican Women and the hospital auxiliary. She served as President of the Republican Women. She is survived by Maurice, her husband of 65 years; and her sister-in-law, Helene Ottsen. She will be dearly missed by her children, Ron of Whitefish, Montana, Sandra (Lynn) Davis of Edina, Minnesota, and David (Deborah) of Mishawaka, Indiana; her three grandchildren, Chris (Margaret), Justin and Carrie; and her soon-to-be-born great-grandchild. For all her many accomplishments and interests, what stands out most is her devotion and dedication to her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for a scholarship fund being set up through PEO. Services Saturday, 11 AM, St.David's Episcopal Church, 13000 St. David Rd, Minnetonka.
