William R. Kloster
Kloster William R., age 62, of Wayzata, died suddenly on Jan. 22. Preceded in death by parents, William G. & Olive Kloster of Minnetonka. Bill was the president of Kloster Corporation in Plymouth and was engaged in the foundry equipment manufacturing industry during his entire business career. He was a brilliant designer and engineer and enjoyed his work with colleagues around the world. Bill was also a life-time model railroad enthusiast, actively involved with the railroad club at Bandana Square. Bill was a member of the Elks and American Foundrymen's Society. Born and raised in Minnetonka, Bill spent 20 years in Muscatine, Iowa and returned to the Twin Cities in 1986. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Bill is survived by wife, Sharon; son, William J. (Cathy) of Minnetonka; daughter, Kristine (Tim) Ratliff of Rock Falls, IL; daughter, Shawn (Peter) Berens of Shakopee; and brothers, Charles of Muscatine, IA and James of Clearwater; 9 grandchildren; and numerous friends, relatives and business colleagues. Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 2-6 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN. Private interment.
