Siemens James R., 72, of Nisswa, formerly Cambridge & Bloomington. Born April 16, 1930 in Fairmont to George and Ruth (Kramer) Siemens. Jim was the eldest son of a Baptist Minister, spending the first years of his life in Iowa, moving to California at age 12. He moved to Minnesota to attend Northwest Bible College and remained to teach in Lester Prairie and taught for over 30 years in Bloomington at Portland Junior High School and then Olson Junior High School, retiring in 1986. After moving to Cambridge, he was a driver for Grandview Christian Nursing Home and a courier for the Cambridge Medical Center. Gifted with a beautiful bass voice, he always enjoyed singing, most recently with the East Central Chorale and First Baptist Church Choir of Cambridge before moving to Nisswa in the fall of 2001. Jim will be missed by wife, Beverly; sons, James (Ginger) Siemens, Grand Junction, CO, Michael (Mary) Mraz, Burnsville, Mark (Patty) Mraz, Apple Valley, Monte (Chrissy) Mraz, Nisswa; grandchildren, Betsy, Katie, Max, Mic, Sammy Jo, and Matt; siblings, Lois Dicus, Chico, CA, David (Sherry) Siemens, Lakewood, CO, Adelle (Andy) Anderson, Durango, CO, Bernice (Garry) Chartier, Prescott, AZ, Muriel (Gene) Hibbs, Whittier, CA, Beryl (Bob) Bourassa, Baxter; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents. The family is grateful for the fine care of St. Joseph's Radiation Center in Brainerd, Dr. Yeh, and the whole St. Joseph's Hospice Team. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. Visitation the hour before services.
