Wallack, Max Age 90, of St. Louis Park, formerly of Richfield, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Minnie Wallack; brother David; and beloved wife Pearl. Survived by sister, Helen Walstedt, Washington, D.C; sons, Joseph, CPA (Ruth Levine, M.D.) of Houston, TX; David, Ph.D. (Kaori, LPN) of Hillsboro, OR; 4 grandchildren, David, Anna, Benjamin and Joseph; nieces, Nancy Wallack and Debbie Wallack; and special nephew Greg (Karen) Wallack. Max attended North High School and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business. He worked at the US Post Office for over 40 years and developed a wide circle of acquaintances while bartending on the side for many years. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. Max wanted to acknowledge with appreciation special friends, Melanie Hodroff; Monroe and Colleen Hodroff; Max Zeman; and Ed and Jane Zeman. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29 at noon at the chapel at United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery, 70 1/2 Street West and Thomas Avenue So., Richfield, MN. SHIVA will be held on Sunday at 7 pm at Sholom Home West, St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Chevra Kavod Hamet at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, 10500 Hillside Lane West, Minnetonka, MN 55305.
